Everyone has a story, 

Listen carefully enough, 

I heard yours, 

I heard hers 

I heard his, 

I listened until my head hurt, 

Everyone can teach you, 

They are either a lesson, 

Or a blessing, 

I see the shadows move, 

They are only shadows, 

And I am safe, 

In the knowledge, 

You reassured me, 

But it's fair to say,  

I needed to stand on my own, 

For a while, 

I can hear you, 

Feel you, 

See you, 

Almost taste you, 

Why is this? 

And must it always be so, 

I lost you a long time ago..........
