Whats Going On

entry picture

I've a spare five minutes so I'm going to update everyone with whats going on with my performance poetry, band and stuff and also thank a few people as well 'cos I'm in a thankful mood!

On the 1st of Feb I'm performing at The 1in12 club in Bradford, this'll be my first ever propper gig in Bradford so would be fantasic if some of you's could make it, it's three quid in and features Minus Jack, The Marmozets, Smack Ali, The Cad, DJ Dips and myself, Three quid entry and kicks of at eleven it should be a great night.

Also after the first I'm going to be taking a short break from performing on my own for a bit so that I can lick my wounds and recharge my batteries then I'll be coming back better than ever (in theory!!)
In the meantime I'll be working on other projects, these include

The Book- In a short while I'll be releasing my first poetry book, this will be done on a DIY basis and as a result will be flogged for next to nothing, the working title is "Drunk and Incapable" and will have the best of the poems I've wrote in the two and a bit years of performing. If theres a poem people want to see included in this publication give us a shout! It'll be released with minimum fuss as I don't care for ego trips all that much.

The Band- As of February I start reheasring properly with the new Line-up of the Dole Dossers, my punk rock band from years gone by, cheers to Sarah the crazy drummer girl for helping me out, it's not every day a band member lets you hit them in the head with beer cans!!

"...And They Didn't Know It..." Poetry Combo- This is a poetry duo consisting of Meriel and Myself, our first official performance is at the Livespace event on the second Sunday of February at Bridges in Sowerby Bridge. Decent thought provoking poetry without a biscuit in sight!

So, thats basically my plans for February!

All the best

Hello Cayn
Nice meeting you.

Thank you for the lovely update! You are lucky that you live in such close knit community so the performances can be done with no taking the plane for a flight. Here where I am it is almost impossible to fly to Toronto from Alberta where I live. It will take extreme amount of time as well as the flight ticket. The price equals the flight to Europe flying across Canada. Good luck with your poetry and the performances...Zuzanna
