Sophomore sky!

Starlings

In            flocks

Silvery light

                    From a sophomore sky

Why?

An autumnal phenomenon

It was for her

benefit

Or mine

           The light

MYSTICAL

Mystifying

Like the light that comes after a thunderstorm

Ozone, that was it

And still

            the light

And still

            the starlings

Why? Who knows?

Sophomore sky!

Colin I had no reason for breaking up my work as I did. It was completely random. I just wrote down the first things that came into my head. What the hell is a sophomore sky anyway? The whole thing took 3 minutes and minimal effort.

for the same reason that Chris Armstrong gave to your questioning of his use of the broken line structure in his poem 'Aberystwyth Scenes, 1970'
