missed it! damn it!

I couldn't believe it!

when she text me about it

'I've seen it again! (her words)

it made me annoyed to think that I'd not seen it!

because the way she described it and what it had done

made it sound amazing!

you should have seen it! she went on

and it only lasted for a few minutes but while it was here

it did a strange dance and it sang a strange song

so did you take a selfie with it?  I asked

no was her reply because it never stood still long enough

but if it comes back it would be great if you could be here to see it

it had crossed my mind I said haughtily

(it was my way of mocking her failure to tell me about it in time)

and if I do get to see it I'll do a rough sketch of it for you

and finish it later

but I wouldn't do that for anyone else

why not? she questions

they I replied might not understand it

in the way, I'd understand it

and the way I'd understand the way you would understand it

it is very kind of you to put it that way but what if it never comes back?

 well,SOD IT! I bawled

and I can hear Richard reading the poem P&S mentioned with which I am also familiar as I read yours, Leon

I'm not familiar with that poem so I'll look it up Pat and Stef
and you might be guessing for a long time Jemima but still, it will keep you out of mischief!

hahaha! nice one Leon. We're wondering if you had been inspired by the Robert Graves poem 'Welsh incident' by any chance?

a fantastic poem especially when superbly read by the treacle tone voiced Richard Burton.

P&S xx
