at the gate of grief with dead flowers in her hand

when rising

she finds herself trying to hear

the sounds of his voice in another land

and for a moment her body recoils

at the sadness of where death has sent him

to that country opposed to life

a place without echoes

that has no bridge

she can cross to bring him home

nor any opening in despair

she can reach into and bring out the key

that will unlock the lonely silent prison of her life.

◄ art of giving a present without paying for it

Beautiful, and very sad. You forget the person is no longer in this world, and start to think what you will say to them when you next see them. Hope it wasn't a real loss.

Enjoy the £50! I have abolished Xmas presents in the family except for children up to 18! After that perhaps some cash.

All the best, Jennifer
