the hardest road

loneliness turns life to stone.

There is in its dead weightiness

a suppressing

of every chance for the hearts comfort

to come to the fore

make itself known

It is the epitome

of abandonment a connecting

to desperation for company

for the endless silence to be broken

for a need to make in the shrouding ocean

of emptiness

an oasis of tranquil spiritual assistance

that the ghosts of the old alliances

can continually invade

◄ trade off

as you say Leon a very scary prospect indeed and in our case possibly not that far off unless we both exit simultaneously.Without doubt an awful scenario for so many

you are absolutely right in all you say, Jemima and of course who knows when our turn will come to be in the same situation. A very scary prospect indeed. My thanks to you and David

as usual, many of these poor souls do receive our attention's at this time of year in the same way that other kinds of unfortunate people do but it's just a shame that this level of attention can't be maintained the whole year through. That's not to dismiss the fact that a lot of very caring people do maintain the highest level they can throughout the year and I daresay in difficult circumstances and under pressure to keep to their 'targets' Thank you.Jemima.
