Graham, I'm thinking there might be something in your haiku advertising idea - like those Nationwide ads.

Rob, a compliment indeed from the haiku grand master. If it wasn't for you I probably wouldn't have got into them in the first place.

thank you both for stopping by. Col.

nice to see the humble haiku getting lots of comments and likes - thank you all. If you stare at them long enough they start talking back.

Suki that's brilliant - like a line from one of your poems - a future poem perhaps?

Hi there Col,

As Amazon would say:

People who enjoyed this haiku also bought a book of building site puns..

glad you liked this Kealan. We were passing through a very muddy and rundown farm and wondering whether we were on the right footpath when we came across The Trowel.

there is a pun in the second line too as 'pointing' is 'the action of filling the joints of brickwork or masonry with mortar'. Yeah I know, these little jokes make me giggle!

cheers, Col.

Love the pun in the last line. I'm a suckered for wordplay. However there was also a nice depth to this, as if nature herself was inviting you on a little journey. A short sweet read. Nice one buddy
