Moonlight.
I could not help but stare at the moon tonight,
Full and bright,
With shadow mountains,
we are like the moon,
Bright,
But with shadows,
Sometimes we exist in the shadows,
Before we move into the light.
Until we learn to love ourselves,
we cannot love another truly,
Sometimes I want to wrap you up in my arms,
and make every hurt right,
But I know that you must fight your own fight.
Right your own wrongs.
You were broken when I knew you,
Another had taken your soul,
and left you out alone,
I hope you have healed
and time has been kind to you.
You deserve to be loved,
as do we all,
Am I the one to do this
I ask myself?
In the past you felt familiar,
Like I was home,
You must understand to be alone,
Is not a burden not a curse,
It is necessary to write the next verse,
I sense your frustration
and your hurt,
We must all forgive and be forgiven.
