beyond sex

this morning

everything rests in

bouquets of sultry satisfaction.

Your dawn brightened smile

your naked swarthiness,

both guilty

of being adorable

and how much last nights first story

I hung onto

told me that with you

fun and laughter are not shy strangers

they live uncaged in the crazy beautiful world

that is your heart

yet as I watch you dress to leave

I am wondering how many underlying secrets

might repose inside you?

if by chance there happens to be one

that instils in your mind

the fear of never finding real love

somehow I will teach you to understand

that when the deep hunger

of your true needs rushes you

be still,

waiting here for you

is my soul's cradle

Rose - best piece I've seen you write in ages, because there is a large element of you between the lines. The old adage of 'write what you know' should be amended to 'write what you know, feel, desire and need'. Job well done in this instance.

I like this not least because it is a good poem but also there is I suspect something of you here Rose beneath the acerbic veneer that I have grown to love there is this tender side showing. and it is beautiful.
Maybe I am being a bit to mushy but either way it's lovely
nice one girl
