I went down to Grenfell the day after the horror, and no not just to take pictures but to try and help in some way.

Anyway I noticed everyone seemed to be taking stock pictures so I tried to get something a little different, I snapped this through a spy hole in a fence in an attempt to convey some feeling of voyeurism which is how I think much of the country reacted.

There was no-one else in this area at the time it was almost the only quiet spot in the entire area, to be honest some of the early reportage was lacking penetrative narrative in my opinion. If I had more of an incentive I might have attempted to get closer.

Its difficult to know how to react in such times, sometimes.
