Love Me Until the Morning

entry picture

Love me until the morning

Love me through the easel and canvas of your day

Love me to your everywhere

Love me into the singsong of your smile

Treasure my moments

Moments of madness

Given up like a child

Love me through my kissing

Kisses that fall to you like mist stingle hangs upon a leaf

Kisses like two swans upon still water

Wear me close to your dream

Watch the which way of my going

Love me until the morning

A lovely poem Augusta, a well deserved WOLOP! Just adore "love me through the easel and canvas of your day". I also like the look of all your poems on the page, you obviously take a lot of care re font/size and image. So, a beautiful read. x
P.S. your date/rape poem did not shock me, I found it complex and moving. Like sex, I guess. I don't know why it attracted such vitriolic comments from some people. And I thought your replies were both strong and polite.

hadn't planned on logging on but had to, to say how much I liked this. It captures the extravagance of love beautifully

Nice to see someone tackle a good old fashioned love poem. So few people seem to embrace them nowadays - it's all love tainted, love lost or love gone wrong - I wonder why? There is also a lot to be said for being loved until the morning - a bit of a contrast to the Cold Edge of Morning, Augusta. Never heard of the word stingle before - but it sounds lovely in that context - I think I shall adopt it....
