rapture 2

you said look, the stars are changing

through the xylophonic slats, I saw

pinpoints congealing, melting together

not little pricks of time

but tantric smears of energy

a flamboyant parade of slaked lime

until the night sky was bright white, pure

light, pouring into our welcoming throats

and I choked back a single tear

and held your trembling hand

for if this was the rapture

then why were we still here

thanks all, sorry for the late reply. glad you enjoyed the work and i quite agree graham, the title is a nonstarter. i'll change it once i can think of something that fits, it is suppose to be a companion piece to the first 'rapture' but sticking a '2' on the end of it wasnt exactly my finest move. hope you are all well.

This should have had a different name for me. It stands alone as an astral fantasy piece but I cannot help but re-read Rapture in conjunction with it.

Of course it is very accomplished!

Good work Stu

This is quite beautiful, Stu, and I wish I'd written the last three lines. Tony
