Assad fodder

They,are the people dying

on dead streets.

Soon,they will be the people

that were.

Yet innocent,in every meaning of the word.

But they have become

our guilt.

Because,we didn't listen

because,we allowed ourselves

to be collectively,selectively

Thank you Paul. One wonders not only when, but how this terrible situation will end.We would hate to think that this evil dictator Assad and his foreign 'allies-cum-cronies' will be left to rule.

Forgive the inopportune point in time to say it,but just in case we don't make contact before it arrives-we would just like to wish you and yours, all the very best for the New Year.

P&S xx

Dear Stef, very well said. This poem, for me, sums up the awful predicament so many of us face, about being helpless in a world where our fellow, as you say, innocent human beings are sacrificed - and for what? It's so painfully sad.....
