Winds of Change.

Somethings blowing in the air,

winds of Change everywhere,

my familiar tells me so,

fur on end,

eyes so black.

Claws attack.

My magical cards saw it too.

what to do.

lay back and enjoy the change in tide,

or fight for my life

with a witches spells,

I write,

you have already written the truth,

an unpublished poem,

you know,

How?

my dreams are your dreams,

or your reality,

I dream of white horses,

and forests,

you see them too.

Of cities and rooftops and stars.

I dream of truths,

and lies,

I write of them,

In papers unseen,

You read them with a wizards eye.

Confess something I knew.

What is all this sorcery?

Or are we simply meant to be.

Lovers from a past life,

do cross again

and again

and again

and again.

I see your shield.

Your sword too.

If you ask Angel Michael will protect you.

I will help you along your path,

Have no wish to be your sacrifice,

Would sooner share your life somehow,

I knew something wasn't right,

I would be simply,

a partner in crime.

If it is a crime,

To be free and true.

We need to love and be loved,

Understood too.

Familiar, familiar tell me my future.

Do not spit and hiss but quieten my love,

Bodies reflect souls sometimes,

Rest yours for a time.

I buy a crystal wand,

Strong in its light.

Let everything be smooth,

No need to fight.

I need to send out

Umbrellas of light,

to protect me and you.

I need to rest for this fight.

I see a shadow or two.

Cruel to you.

a brute a devil, left scars,

Your trying to heal them,

but dont know how,

Lost and alone,

Surrounded by folk.

In the wilderness I find you.

Give you my hand,

Water too.

Drink my dear,

Drink.

Your playing dangerous games I fear.

I sense danger near my dear.

To some you will be their meat.

A main course,

a tasty treat.

The body needs,

the body desires,

But the soul craves.

Stay safe.

She came to me with a biblical name,

In my dreams,

in papers I didn't try to see.

Protect my son,

she said to me.

the others are not strong enough.

But you my child with your celtic gypsy blood,

you with your coven.

You are sent.

Sent from the Gods.

I fear some mean him harm.

I fear some have a snare around his leg.

So I write this now by chance you may hear,

Hold my hand.

I will send out my powers.

To surround you in this land.

There's a snake about.

A sorceress too,

They only want to take from you.

Ive met him before.

Heard her name.

Keep away from him and her.

Until then hold my hand

Stay strong

As I lead you through the darkness.

One day we will walk the shores,

Laughing at the seahorses.

Jumping with seals.

rest your tired head upon my lap,

I'm stroking it now as we write.

I'm strong enough for this fight.

Honestly, this is a great poem but it leaves me unsure as to the persona's stand. There are many references to witchcraft (e.g familiar) and some biblical references as well (Angel Micheal).
I'm not sure if this is something like C.S Lewis' Chronicle of Narnia where there was a good witch and bad witches.
I really like the poem. Just saying that I'm not exactly certain of the scenario.

The darkness is passing, yet only in the darkness can you feel the light. Only in the shadows do you hear the singing of a new spring. Just as winter takes hold, a seed is opening and coming to life, to grow below and to soon end this winter with its birth into the light we only just feel for now. Lead me to that light and I will show you who you want to be.
