Doesn't matter whose right or Wrong

The lights twinkle and I think of you,

I think of my mother too,

this time of year when we embrace our neighbours,

end quarrels,

goodwill to strangers.

but there's a vixen in me,

who wants to dig her claws in,

and make you her prey,

but that is not a way to make you stay,

I would happily scratch the eyes

of any female rival,

but realise

that is futility too.

If only you knew,

that I'd be there for you,

a place for you to lay your head,

a place for another bed.

Someone to go on adventures with.

The past is forgiven.

It almost had to happen.

I swore in the sky today I saw two trails,

from an aeroplanes tail,

Right in the sky,

above my head.

A crossroads,

a second chance.

We are scratched,

not broken.

I would happily wipe your tears.

Laugh with you through the years,

Don't worry about me

all alone,

It's a choice I've made,

I can't settle for second best.

I want someone to put me to the test.

Choose a place on a map.

Help me write my book.

Help me sing my songs.

I'd try not to hurt you ever again.

So strong yet I sense a deep hurt.

she's calling me,

to look after you.

I can't explain.

How I saw her name.

I would love to take that loss away.

a loss we share.

You are an angel.

Sometimes fallen from the track.

A warrior through the ages.

a lover of all kinds.

The world needs storytellers,

like you and I.

lightworkers,

truthseekers.

How will we know

If we never try,

Neither of us,

Has truly said goodbye.

Take my hand.

Love me through each hurt.

Put my pieces back together,

With each hug.

We can make a picture,

Doesn't matter whose right or wrong.

Dance with me through the night.

We can greet the morning light

take a chance.

Allow the romance.

Live like the French,

without a backward glance.

My love

my sweet.

Dance me off my feet.
