Damn you-Freeview!

The thought of T.V.
holds no appeal
this evening,
so,for a change
I try to strike up
an unusual conversation w'it  wife.
I ask
do you think Martians have ever walked down our street?
she answers-
Dunno love,I,ll ask Mrs Scroggins in the morning-
she knows everything!
Although my attempts at conversing
were inadvertantly derailed
at least we avoided a repeat of a repeat of a repeat
repeated again!
Well-for five minutes anyway!

Cheers Harry.
Oh yes! there is a Mrs. Scroggins
living on most streets I daresay.

I,m actually thinking of opening a-
'Ask Mrs. Scroggins'website
to challenge 'Ask Jeeves'

I once asked her,
how come
I,m not head of the residents association?

To which her replies being in two parts were,
-"cos I am,you little shit!"
"also,I refer you to own criminal record"-ha!

Thanks (longboat)Lynn.
glad I made yer larf,at least you are happy.
unlike moi,up to my gonads in
microbore piping,elbow joints,stop-cocks
isolators and flushing radiators.

In short,a faulty heating system-bugger!
almost repaired now though
(thank-you know what! haha)

Think they should change the name
of our area-Rossendale,to Frozzendale! BRRR!

Keep warm love and same to Colin'n'

Mucho obrigados,s Martin.
re the comparison with R.McGough-
I wish!

In his poem 'Lunchtime'
unlike the conductor striking up
some sort of a relationship
with the driver,
the one I struck up w'it wife
went on a little longer-
by decades X four + three to be precise.

I best not say to my dismay-
'cos I want to live-ooer!

Cheers top guy.
