A New Day

A new day is dawning

On this late January morning

Suddenly without warning

World troubles enthrall

Egypt is on it’s knees

Curfews do not please

Power attempts to seize

The minds of all

Where is the presence of God?

His soothing divine rod

Giving violence and despair the nod

Let us stand tall

Remember The Six Day War

A derisory deathly score

The abandonment of national law

Destruction leads to a peace call

A new day has dawned

Nature and love scorned

War and hatred forlorn

Life, with respect, is a bomb and a ball
