Redundant Churches.

some country churches out in

norfolk have known better

times – yet beacons still for

those who’ve seen the light

and even for the doubting

types provide a link to

matters of the spiritual mind

when people or their faith

have gone and clergymen

move on - the ancient doors

clang shut for one last time

that’s when the asset

strippers start and rot sets off

inside these ancient shrines

a sorry state when sacred

grounds are over run where

once the rural lads and lasses

came to pray who now lay

under tombs and with the use

of crematoria our stone-carved

epitaphs they too have gone
