Leaves on the line

The Virgin child

On platform 2

Wheelchair-bound

With lolling eyes

And wet lapels

And doting mother

Strokes her hair

Dabs her mouth &

Pushes the chair before

Those singing wheels

Then follows her daughter

Heaven-bound

Though the sign says only

Warrington.

This really packs a punch - I was blown away by this poem and especially the devastating ending: "Heaven-bound
Though the sign says only
Warrington." Great stuff.

Nice one Banksy and thanks for the acknowledgement with this Leaves on the Line - good that one set of ideas help spark others as you will see from Airport Encounter soon to come when I will be able to return the tribute - much appreciated also your very kind comments on Sargasso Remembered
