Suddenly Night
Too hot to trot
Standing still on the spot
Blinded by an indignant sun
In a barren dessert, nothing is won
Off the street paid concrete
The midday sun is rightly shunned
Passed by a car-pool lane of one
Into a world of riddles and fun
Dark neon hums while burning the air
Shimmering chrominance-overshoot reigns supreme
Skittles fly as pool balls hunt for their pockets
"Heehaws" abound as the beers flow and jostle
