What a privilege it is to share 

This life with the one I first called ‘friend’.

You are my home, my sanctuary.

Evidence that I’m God’s favorite.

 

It is my joy to love you, to nurture us,

To witness the evolution of our family.

Let’s vow to reintroduce ourselves to

The versions of each other we have yet to meet. 

Each other, all of us, my one and only-

Greatness is measured in the giggles of our children.

 

Our first decade begins today.

And when youth has left us,

We can reflect on this moment-

When we committed to the decades.

Everyday won’t be pleasant, but I vow to always be present.

I praise God for the minute our lives collided.
