Frankness

You cannot change

    What you choose to repeat

You cannot grow

    When you try to compete

You must break down

    To rebuild your walls

You must listen well

    When the universe calls

If it feels wrong

    Then you are probably right

There is always a reason

    Kept out of sight

Trust in yourself

    And be who you are

Not a pretender or fake

    To protect a scar

Lay yourself bare,

    Open your arms wide

And embrace change and growth

    With love and pride.

Wonderful, Sophie! The flow and rhythm of your poem are absolutely captivating — it carries a beautiful permission to simply be. At the same time, I sense a powerful, almost demanding call to action. The "musts" and "cannots" set a very high bar for the soul. If a person is internally ready, these words act as a beautiful, awakening force. But if they feel forced, the spirit might naturally resist. Authentic growth cannot be rushed. I especially love the invitation to lay ourselves bare instead of protecting our scars. However, it made me reflect on how vital a sense of trust and safety is before we can truly open up and expose those hidden wounds. Thank you for this deeply thought-provoking piece!
