The Way Home

When doubt speaks louder than hope,
sometimes we may forget the way home.

But the hopes we once
whispered to God,
in the darkness we thought
would forever fill our hearts,

if their light could be seen,
perhaps they would look like stars,
little sparks that bring light to the dark.

And perhaps, when you count the stars
that once shone along your path,
you may remember your way home,
among those constellations.

I count myself fortunate to have stars that light my way in dark times.
