Archnemesis

This man threatens our existence, that much is surely clear,

a scary mega-villain who blights our biosphere,

like Daleks to the Doctor, a planetary curse,

or Agent Smith to Neo, and maybe even worse.

He’s arrogant and slimy, an orange kinda guy,

a barefaced prevaricator self-enriching on the sly,

like a two-bit used car salesman, the worst one ever spawned

who’d do his best to hurt you as Blofeld did to Bond.

He rides roughshod over everybody, seemingly for sport,

an evil sort of fellow, a non-fiction Voldemort.

Don’t try to stand against him, you’ll never win I fear,

he’ll simply send his ICE guys and you will disappear.

If it wasn't quite so scary, he'd be a laughingstock,

but the upshot of his antics is to advance the Doomsday Clock,

misogynist and racist, unashamed supremacist;

to the people of this world a reviled Archnemesis.

“If it wasn’t quite so scary” indeed, Trevor.

The best Trump poem I've seen, Trevor. The Macavity-like beat gives it a real ironic edge, if anyone does irony anymore!

There's now little doubt Trevor, that the orange ogre is a complete basket case.
What's truly scary is the so-called "sane" people, pulling his strings, literally behind the scenes - a grotesque puppet show, in which the stuff of scary fiction has become grim reality.😱
