Fire in my Blood

Fire in My Blood

In the quiet architecture

of our nights,

your intelligence unfolds

like a rare manuscript—

pages I trace with reverent fingers.

Each thought a spark

that ignites

the air between us.

I love how you stand alone,

rooted and wild,

independent as the sea

that refuses the shore.

Yet you choose

to pull me close,

your strength

a harbour

I sail into

willingly.

Your beauty is not mere form—

it is the light shifting

across your skin at dusk,

the curve of your shoulder

where the world rests easy,

the way your eyes

hold galaxies

when you look at me.

Desire rises then,

slow and inevitable,

anticipation rises

a hunger that begins

in the chest

and travels like fire

through every vein.

Lust, raw and honest,

meets love here—

no separation, no shame—

only the sacred ache

of wanting all of you.

When we come together,

it is art:

bodies composing symphonies without notes,

skin on skin

painting

strokes of devotion.

I move with you

like a sculptor learning marble,

discovering warmth

where stone was thought to be.

Passion surges—

deep, tidal, consuming—

yet always laced with trust,

the quiet knowledge

that you are safe in my hands

as I am safe in yours.

Respect lives in every pause,

every whispered question

of your pleasure,

every moment

I wait for your yes

to echo through us both.

I hunger for the way you open,

not just body but soul,

letting me witness

the fierce light you carry.

In this union

there is no conquest,

only surrender

that feels like flying—

two independent flames

choosing

to burn brighter

together.

My love, in the tangle

of limbs and breath,

I find worship.

Not of perfection, but of your wholeness—

mind, will, heart, and flesh.

This is how we make love:

deeply,

fiercely,

tenderly,

spontaneously,

a living poem written

in sweat and sighs,

where hunger meets home,

and every

touch

says

forever.

A nice image that, Jonah.

A Great achievement, Jonah. The way you describe love-making so honestly, as a union of two people, with vivid, recognisable description. A very fine poem on a subject that many find awkward to write about.
