Bad Movie (NaPoWriMo Day 29)

The movie I was watching became somewhat soporific

on top of which the dialogue was really not terrific.

The script was even worse, extremely dense and monolithic,

director quite inept, did not deserve the honorific.

My eyes became quite heavy and they soon began to close,

and all at once I fell into involuntary doze.

It’s hard then giving credit to the dreamscape that arose,

and how I ever lived through it, well only heaven knows.

I found myself abandoned in some prehistoric land,

where dinosaurs roamed freely with no weapons close to hand.

I cowered in a cave where I’d attempt to understand

just how on earth I got here to this anti-Disneyland.

The monsters that surrounded me were not petite and cute;

there’s one that was gigantic, a voracious, fearsome brute.

I couldn’t get away from it, there was no prudent route,

so I continued hiding so I’d not attract pursuit.

But then some smaller predators were suddenly right here,

encroaching on my refuge and I sensed my end was near;

their foetid breath and slobber had me panicking with fear.

I then woke up with my puppy’s tongue wrapped wetly round my ear.
