Every day you try to piece the puzzle,

You’ve been trying for so long,

To make it whole, to make it right,

But some pieces just don’t belong.

 

Every day you water your garden,

In hopes flowers will bloom,

But life played a cruel trick on you, 

And poison ivy filled your room.

 

Every day you dry your tears,

But today you let them water the ivy,

The poison feeds on your sadness,

And grows wild and slyly.

 

Every day it grows more from each tear,

So don’t let yourself fall prey,

It’s time to leave the puzzle unfinished, 

And save your tears for another day.
