I based this poem on the traditional Irish greeting: 

"céad míle fáilte!" "one hundred thousand welcomes!"

Níl ach croí amháin agam,

ach fáilte chroíúil!

ní hea, céad míle fáilte!

 

Níl ach dhá lámh agam,

seo lámh amháin

agus dhá chéad míle fáilte!

 

Níl ach dhá chos agam,

ach seo le siúl trí chéad míle leat!

agus trí chéad míle fáilte!

 

riachtanas pobal aontaith

croíthe sláintiúla,

intinn shláintiúil,

comhlachtaí sláintiúla,

Pobal Roimh Bhrabús!

 

I have but one heart,

but a warm welcome,

nay, one hundred thousand welcomes!

 

I have but two hands,

here is one hand,

and two hundred thousand welcomes!

 

I have but two feet,

but here's to walking three hundred thousand miles with you,

three hundred thousand welcomes (to you).

need healthy  hearts,

healthy minds,

healthy bodies,
