If it Happens to Men (as it does to women)

If it happens to men
As much as it does to women
Things would be different now
The pain would be less
The path short
Dignity and respect
Not that
I'm expert
You understand
Being the former
And not the latter

You're on a journey
But not to Italy
And you must play NICEly
Follow the rules
No matter how tough
It's the only way
Or so thay say
Unless you are the chosen few

Sorry luv my hands are cold
Sorry luv shes on leave today
Its me or come back another day
You must get on without delay
The choice is yours
So you decline to say
Dont touch whoever you are.

Its all part of the journey
Which hopefully will end
Sometime
And with luck
Will never return for some
But for others an unexpected detour
But they forgot to say
There's no signpost
Its just an unfortunate turn
So off you go

Follow the rules
And youll be okay
Fingers clinically crossed
No matter how
Agonisingly painful
And tough
But you are strong
And willing to fight
Put on a brave face
Grit your teeth
When they say
I know what you are going through
You're doing well
They dont
I'm not

But if you are brave
Beyond all certain reason
Where quality beats quantity
You could just carry on
Living a wonderful year
Visit the salons
Do your nails
Take your trips to Italy
Go to the West end
Do the simple things
Kicking leaves
Watching Strictly
Or just chat to your beste
Enjoy your life whilst you can
