The Sun, The Moon, And The Sea

A piece of darkness bled into the sky
And resulted in stars and what we call “night”
The Moon was born of her dissatisfaction
At being a star, she felt she was sanctioned
So she fell in love with the Sea
As did the Sun and he envied
The Sea and the Moon together at last
But the Sun vowed their relationship was past
He kissed the Sea goodnight each day
To his side, he tried to sway
But the Sea did not budge
Her wife meant too much
And she banished the Sun from the night
