Write Out Loud Woking held its farewell night – and its final open mic of 2025 - at the Fiery Bird and Phoenix Cultural Centre in Goldsworth Road, Woking on Thursday 27 November. In 2026 Write Out Loud Woking is re-locating to the Lionsheart bookshop and cafe.

Write Out Loud Woking’s co-founder and long-running co-compere Rodney Wood said: “Huge thanks to the endlessly energetic Elaine McGinty and her amazing volunteers, who make us feel at home every single time.
