Pitch Parasites

They called almost every day,

wanting to hear what I’ve got to say.

Asked me how I’m doing, how are the kids?

about investments, where my money lived.

Said they could handle my money, make it worry-free,

safe and secure, only for me, in a marvellous far-away place.

Such nice people and such a lovely offer,

seemed rude not to let them borrow my identity,

and my money, leave me pilfered without a trace.

Thanks for this poem, John. Not a nice experience for your family.. There are so many scammers around and, sadly, it tends to make us suspicious of everyone.

Thanks to John Coopey for the idea from his poem 'Identity Theft'.
My father was taken in by numerous phone buddies some years back, which we had to deal with.
