Sugar Beneath The Silence

They say my face is soft as spring,
A calm the daylight loves to bring,
But sweetness does not spill in tone,
It lives in deeds the heart has sown!

I do not paint my care in speech,
Nor let my wanting overreach,
Instead, I fold my love in small,
Unspoken things that say it all!

A hand that lingers, eyes that stay,
A kindness given, not turned away,
No need for vows, no grand display,
Actions hum what words cannot say!

So, call me calm and restrained,
You will find my truth where warmth remains,
For sugar hides in simple grace,
It is not the sound, but the embrace!
