My good Christan ways

Just for context this was written after I met a trans girl at my Christian youth camp. This is a mostly true retelling of events:

We whisper our names

When there's others around

How we pray for each other

When we're not safe nor sound

We share what others

Have to say about us

With our heads down,

our voices hushed

Cause in the sermons

They say we're new age

And here to attack

The good Christian ways

But you seperate us

Lead us astray

By telling us we're not a

Good Christian way

Listen to the girls talk

While she's filed away

But I'll retell

What she told "us"

So she can hear

What you messed up

Cause we're not here to break

Your walls down

We're here to join in

Welcome us to your town

Cause we're not leaving

We're here to stay

We're not leaving

And you'll be ok
