Till Saturn
In another sci-fi life, I'd take you to Saturn,
Leaving all your friends and their stupid, callow,
Bagful of opinions about me back on Jupiter.
You'd traverse along with me without worries or pries,
And I'd tell you the enigmatic love phrase of mine.
You’d make a face like you’d heard it before,
You'd try to trace it in your head, echoes rumbling,
Playing episodic vivid subconscious dreams and scenes,
The voice, the phrase, the face, the very lively feeling,
You hear me say that, 'I love you till Saturn', repeatedly.
But when and where? Now or a million light years ago?
Giving up, you'd finally question me, 'Only till Saturn?',
And I'd tell you that, 'A circle is a whole which is you to me,
And the encircling ring of foreverness is me around you,
Engaged for eternity, hand in hand, heart and soul, me and you.'
You'd hug me so tight that even the shadows of me and you,
Would turn into us. We two, would merge into one like never before.
