But for

snaking, pulsating conduits

fluid providing, fluid removing

synthetic arteries, those life saving imperative connections

neccessarily invading your encasement

you would not have been

the beautiful, frail dwarfed miracle that you are

on this, your first day home.

Thank you Grace.
A lovely poem on such fragile beauty.
Such wonders of the scientific world are indeed a blessing.

Three of our eight grandchildren were very premature. A poignant piece indeed Grace

This is so beautiful. My first grandson was born at 25 weeks gestation and after three months in hospital we were able to bring him home. This poem brought a whole flood of memories. 💕
