Mother Nature taking care of her own

entry picture

I see its still up there

that branch that broke off

from the top of the biggest tree in the park

during a storm

now withered

but it continues being supported

by the undamaged branches

not being allowed to fall

to me-theres something family about that.

Wonderful poem! Everything vibrates with life...especially through the eyes of children...even branches taking care of branches. So sweet.

I think that your comments. Manish and Greg go hand in hand and both are as equally very interesting and generous.

Thank you also for your likings John and purplemoon.

You're on to something here, Grace. We're only beginning to discover the power of trees, the way they talk to and react with each other.

I think this is one of the most purest of poems irrespective of the scientific facts behind it. I think it all boils down to the other undamaged branches not letting it go which gives a sense of belongingness to it.
Interesting perspective.
Thank you for this.
