Labour Made Unelectable-How? With Help From A Foul-Mouthed Slanderer.

As part of a long-running smear campaign against the elected leadership of the Labour Party, Dame Margaret Hodge accused Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn of being a 'fucking antisemite and racist'. For this she received a mild rebuke by letter from Labour's Disciplinary Committee. Hodge compared this harrowing experience to that of being a Jew in the 1930s. Norman Finkelstein, leading American Jewish scholar and the son of Holocaust survivors, responds.

MC.
I don’t know what the word “socialist” means to you.
But I was brought up in the Christian faith; and for me, its synonym is “love” or “philanthropy” as in the Bible’s message, “love your neighbour”.

You are correct; philanthropy has no regard for borders, and it is indeed on a quest for world-wide socio-political dominance! - yes, a bit of a mouthful, but we'll get there in the end!

Ah..."racism" - the most selective word in the socialist lexicon,
from the idoelogy that has no regard for a nation's borders in
its quest for world-wide socio-political dominance.

You say "Hodge placed the needs of the indigeneous Brits. ahead of migrants".

"...indigeneous Brits"?
Sounds like dog-whistling to racism to me.

What ever planet you think you're on, it seems somewhat
removed from that known to messrs. Hodge and Corbyn -
one I can refer to as "Islingtonia". They seem to have a history
there, with Hodge declaring she would remain committed
to keeping Corbyn out of the labour leadership, no doubt
fuelled by her own Jewish origins from Germany via Egypt to
the UK where she now refers to herself as "a secular Jew". And a very wealthy
one to boot! You can't beat a bit of
political in-fighting for some mental stimulation in these interesting times.
P.S. UO'C - Hodge did not invite the
admiration/support of the BNP. She
got that unsought response because she publicly placed the needs of the
indigeneous Brits. ahead of migrants
in the matter of the grant of social housing.

Yet again you employ a logical fallacy commonly known as Whataboutery. Uncle Joe Stalin has nothing to do with it.

Hodge's language wasn't just "heated".
It was a lie.
It was slanderous.
Hypocrite Hodge was in no moral position to call anyone a "Racist".
She had previously earned the admiration of the British National Party.
She had made a fortune from her connections with the South African Apartheid regime.
She knew she could get away with lies and slander by means of her Parliamentary Privilege.

Thanks for your comment John C.

"...a remote possibility ...?"
More like a great likelihood; the very reason he had to be eliminated via a campaign of lies and smears - now proven to be such.
A campaign in which hypocrite Archbishop Justin Welby was happy to play his part thus depriving the electorate of any chance of social justice in the forseeable future💔.

UO'C - I think you know that heated language is hardly a one-
way street. Your endorsement of Socialism of the Jeremy
Corbyn mould brings to mind the lines from other days
What is a socialist? One who has yearnings
for equal division of unequal earnings.
Dreamer, idler or worse, he is willing
to put down his penny and pick up my shilling.
In short, there is a history here in the UK about such things,
probably dating from those halcyon days of self-delusion
when it was believed that Uncle Joe Stalin led a land of well
fed happy people and this country could be betrayed by the
likes of the Cambridge clique of fellow-travellers.

Losers-in-waiting????????

HEADLINE: "Labour election result!"

Jeremy Corbyn won a larger share of vote than Tony Blair in 2005!
Labour vastly outperformed expectations and had 40.1 per cent of the popular vote.

Corbyn had to be got rid of, and the despicable smear campaign against him, in which the corrupt BBC, with the help of the Archbishop of Canterbury played a large part, was part of a purge of genuine Socialists, which continues with Starmer's help, who stabbed Corbyn in the back on behalf of Netanyahu's Apartheid state ambitions.

The so-called "Friends of Israel" within the Labour Party and within the corrupt Tory Party are enemies of justice and peace for UK citizens and for both Israelis and Palestinians.

As Norman Finkelstein, leading American Jewish scholar and the son of Holocaust survivors, has said:

“…if any of the rules that are now being implemented in the Labour Party have any meaning whatsoever, if they have any content whatsoever, the first person who should be booted out of the Labour Party is Dame Hodge for trivialising the memory of the Nazi Holocaust, and for making wretched, disgusting, repulsive comparisons between herself and what Jews endured durung WW2”.

I think equivocation from a lawyer (Starmer) about what a woman is has done more to harm Labour's election chances. The average
Brit. probably still values plain speaking that makes sense,
albeit that seems an increasingly rare commodity in politics these days..
