Hang about! death is dead good!

HE TAKES AWAY ALL SUFFERINGS

HE TAKES AWAY ALL PAIN

HE TAKES AWAY INCLEMENT WEATHER

HE TAKES AWAY TOO MUCH SNOW HEAT OR RAIN

HE TAKES AWAY BILL PAYING

HE TAKES AWAY FAMINE DISASTERS WAR

HE TAKES AWAY YOUR OLD BODY

HE TAKES AWAY ITS EVERY PHYSICAL FLAW

HE TAKES AWAY POOR MENTAL HEALTH

HE TAKES AWAY THE CURSE OF POVERTY

HE TAKES AWAY THE DEVILS STEALTH

HE TAKES AWAY GREENHOUSE GASES AND RISING SEA

AND!

HE GIVES BACK ONCE LOST BELOVED MEMBERS

OF THE FAMILY

HE GIVES BACK ONCE LOST BELOVED PETS

ALSO THE GREAT AND GOOD ONES WHO DID SO MUCH

FOR OUR PERSONAL LIVES CONSERVATION AND CHARITY

SO WHATS THE POINT OF CURSING OLD GRIM JIM REAPER

AND ANYWAY HIS VISIT AT SOME POINT HAS TO BE

AND THE BEST PART ABOUT ALL OF THE ABOVE IS

IT LASTS FOR ETERNITY! ( APPARENTLY! )

Yes guys! lets hope the graveyard grass is ' greener ' on the other side God willing.

Great comments folks!

I suppose it is a comfort to think about the afterlife in this way so that ( as Beth suggests ) it overrides the nagging fear of death

Of course

there is as Stephen points out no rush to get there 😵 ooer!

Long life to you guys, Aisha and Fredrick

Love this! Yes Bethany, good idea--I'll be sure to find the WOL poets when I cross over to whatever may be on the other side of this life. I believe there will be heavenly poetry there & a good amount of laughter! I really like the way you list all our human woes, Rose, in a poetic rendering (war, poor mental health, etc). We all deal with suffering, & poetry helps!

You make a strong case in this entertaining poem, Rose. There is a counter-argument, of course. On balance, let him take his time.

I'm a firm believer in the afterlife Rose and how happy I will be if that belief proves to be the right one and to be in that eternal world inhabited by " the once lost beloved members of the family the once lost beloved pets and the great and good " is such a wonderfully comforting thought that helps to override any fear of death that I once had, Thank you Rose for such a well thought out well written and clever poem and also I need to remind you that it means I get to be with you and all the guys from WOL as well!
