SPIRIT

SPIRIT

No one sees me come.

No one sees me go.

I am present in thoughts.

I am present in dreams.

Is your mind blind?

I observe your days.

Watch you toil and play.

In despair and courage,

Courage and despair.

I am there.

No one hears me come.

No one hears me go.

I watch your shipwrecked days.

Walk in your dreams.

Is your mind blind?

Thank you so much for your comment. The poem is about the spirit of a loved one who is present with us, though we are unaware or/and refuse to accept it.

The illustration to this poem is a perfect match. I am intrigued by your use of the word spirit. Are you referring to a detached spirit which merely observes or one we are really conscious of?
Thank you for this
Keith
