Wearing The Fez

Is there a ship stuck in Suez?

Yez, sez the man in the fez

who probably isn't Egyptian

as they no longer wear them

and judging from his diction

and a one-armed affliction

it's a scene from a comedy sketch.

Poor old Tommy. I watched his final performance on TV when he collapsed on stage. The audience initially laughed as they thought it was part of the act. The footage has never been shown again understandably.

Apparently, Tommy Cooper was on holiday in Egypt, where he tried a fez on in a shop, and the shop assistant told him that he was the first English person to put a fez on and not say, 'Just like that!'

Thank you MC.

I've always liked the fez and it's a shame they banned it in Egypt and Turkey, and we see it only on magicians, sand dancers and Saracens rugby fans.

Ha-ha. There was certainly a touch of the "Monty Python" situation
about this carry-on.
A helping hand for emergency attention with the need for a "Nile File" to trim the outcome. 😉
