Order appears to be returning

after recent years of Gurneys

creeking through local streets

and Cranes which dangle from

a giddy height transporting the

builder's necessities from a lofty

position - notices proclaim this to

be a Considerate Workman' s site

although I'd like to see the incident

books which often are a smidgeon

cooked - what swathes of metal

girders lowered from upper heights?

Or injuries manifested here if work

crew members sloped off searching for

a swig of beer. I'd like to read the book

of incidents regarding questions asked,

as the workers rallied to swathes of various

multitalented tasks, as now I hear the gasps

of gongoozlers facing upwards to the sky.

A site, neat as apple pie in transformation

Gongoozler my new favourite word! Thanks for educating me... I just called the wife it & in return she called me a goon. Another favourite of mine. 👍

Stephen, thank you for commenting and the Like.

Many of our locals will be sighing in relief as the prospect of returning to normality looms after several months of upheaval.

I decided to change the title by the way in case you hadn't yet noticed.

I thought gongoozler was an invented word, but I was wrong. The last line finishes it off so well.
