sad but true

Look at me I’ve got a camera phone

Wherever I travel on my own

I take videos of everything I see

Look at me, I say look at me.

I’m going to post this video of you

Up on Youtube, that’s what I’ll do

I’ll make you look a silly twat

Cos. I am great, and that is that.

I’ve got loads of hits as I ride my bike

Videoing stuff that millions like

I poke my camera in your face

Where’s your mask you’re an f’n disgrace

Exempt, f’ off you dozy cu#t

I hunt down idiots… grunt, grunt, grunt

Look at me, I’m so important

A million hits, what the f’s abhorrent?

Just because you use big words

Your still just a posh silly turd

Waste of space, that’s what you are

Unlike me Cos. I’m a star

A million hits that’s what I got

I am famous you are not.

Oh! You fourght for my freedom

Who gives a shit

Watch me tonight, I get another thousand hits.

◄ It’s Black and White.

Communication can be a great tool -
But it loses its worth in the hands of a fool.

100% right Kevin.

The issue is never the tec, it is what we do with it.

This poem seems at a glance to be anti-phone. but i don't think that that is the real point.
it's more about how people think that they have the right to film and shame others, going about their everyday business.

cheers Kevin

That is so right Oussama.

Like most things, it is what we decide to do with them.

I am an avid photographer and videographer myself.

You have a good point. Yes, they are dangerous and a lot of people are addicted to them. But there is a lot of positive side especially in the pandemic, it's like a two-sided coin

I don't have a mobile phone P

We still use smoke signals and drums here in sleepy hollow.

I saw a guy a few weeks ago get out of his car and climb a tree to try and get a signal... Good luck with that I thought.

Long may that continue to be the case!

How can these kids spend hundreds on a phone and 40 odd quid a month or whatever it costs, is beyond me.

I was one of the first people in Norfolk to have a mobile phone.
I had an 0800 number for my work and an ad in the Yellow Pages lol. Those were days!

Alas it is very true what certain plonkers do to draw attention to themselves.

It astonishes me when I see folk with expensive mobiles dangling from a rear jean pocket just waiting to be snatched away.
