Slow motion suicide

She is the monkey

on her own back

She is the refusal

to give up Crack

She is the sight

that won't see sense

She is the fall

of her minds defence

She is the blanket

life's shit clings to

She is the ever-open gate

that allows Satan through

She is the Judas gun

that killed the God of hope

She is on

a death bound  slippy slope

She is the Cavalry

that arrives too late

She is more than enough

on her troubles plate

She is the life's blood

that will never flow

She is the poisoned flower

the Sun doesn't want to know

She is the ice

that cannot thaw

She is behind

an ever bolted door

She is the darkness

that hates the light

She is the contented loser

in every ( assisted ) fight

She is the, not wanting

to be her own friend

She is the unawareness

of an early end.

To care and not to share would be a sin. Thanks for this. T

Thank you for sharing this. Each couplet adds another level of understanding of the seeming hopelessness and never-endingness of depression, something some peoples who haven't suffered fail to understand. I hope this reaches a lot of readers. Keep fighting the good fight.
