I ask, nay pray

    Let me make something

of this world, this life.

I stand alone and wonder

     If this life be mine

can I not divine

What is or is not divine

What ails my soul

    that acheth so

What wisdom

    that I do not know

Taking time to reflect… repose

    To ease this mind

and thoughts so closed.

Like some large tome

    of jangling thoughts

What to accept

    or reject I ought

To give attention

    fully absorbed

I harken to

    the silent word.

Rose, you have no idea how that simple comment has lifted my heavy heart.

Last night it was somehow different, I took my pad and started to write knowing that something/someone had moved me, inspired me.

Thank you... perhaps it was the Bard himself, half-joked Po.

Hello Stephen, thank you for the like and your continued support and encouragement mate.

What a huge learning curve for an old fossil like myself lol.

Lockdown and retirement have been a huge help in that respect if nothing else.

Lovely poem to the backdrop of my favourite Simon & Garfunkel tune. Putting your new equipment to good use I see!

Hello Nic, my old friend. I'm with you.

I don't have, nor do I wish for, a mobile.
They are an insidious source of entrainment that my soul does not need.

Meditation has always been such an integral part of my life since a teenager, and that is a very very long time ago.

I lose myself in those moments between the seconds.

When you meditate take your minds eye to a still lake or a mountain, imagine the peace and the silence, you don't even need music switch your phone off and just dive into your mind, connect heart body and soul and that will help you on your search for the divine, we cannot find it from material possessions or from other sources or from other people. Happy seeking of silence xx

If music be the food of love etc. etc.

I can't imagine a world without music Vautaw.

I am going to focus far more next year on music/video/poetry collabs.

The plan is to get a library of 'stuff' for 'you know what'

Beautiful poem and Sound of Silence song. I love the wisdom gained from silence, but wouldn’t last long without music. Write on!
