Can I get an Amen
Can I get an Amen
So enough is enough.
NOW is the time to seek shelter, warmth, friendship.
Say “Come in, I will give you shelter from the storm.”
In these days of V.R. (That’s ‘Virtual Reality’ for those elder peeps amongst us who perhaps do not have a computer or who are not ‘down with the kids’).
Offer up your love and support and friendship to a stranger.
Now is the time for poets to show the power of words.
Buy some A5 paper write a small poem fold it in half and drop it through a letterbox of someone near you as you stay close to home.
Turn off your televisions, stop reading the major newspapers the red tops, the broadsheets whose view has become so narrow as to be meaningless in these times.
Our time is at hand.
Forge virtual friendships and REAL ones. Write poetry for local mags, the church mags (you may not even be religious at all!) BUT, that is no reason to keep your poetry, your words hidden).
I refuse to believe we are on the road to destruction… The church doesn’t have a monopoly on love and friendship, their congregations spread and locked out, need to see there is a whole new world outside of the church where people care.
Enough of bashing the church, join a whole new Religion one that YOU create. Right now, right there in your living rooms. The church of friendship, love and comradeship.
Keep posting here at WOL! AND anywhere and everywhere you find online that offers you a voice.
Step up to the plate, stand on the pulpit of the freethinkers, the truth bringers, the harbingers of love, friendship and comradeship.
Those of you who are asking “What can I do?” Stop asking that question and start saying I know what I can do… I know what to do… and DO IT.
I do not want to come to WOL or any other outlets for poetry and keep on reading “Woe is me.”
I refuse to believe that I am standing on this pulpit alone.
Join hands, unite in a voice of hope, love, tolerance, STOP commenting on anything to do with BLM, WOKE, Gay rights, human rights, religion… any and all religion, all races, creeds, thinkers and non-thinkers alike focus on being YOU. It matters not what others think or do in the grand scheme of things.
You will NOT change another’s deeply held beliefs, and WHY should you?
Let each of us be who and what we want to be.
We are all in this together.
DO NOT LET Race, Politics, Religion or anything or anyone come between you and the joy of life.
Celebrate the one thing we all have in common. Humankindness.
So: Start being K I N D.
Oh! And did I say “Turn OFF your TV’s, Stop reading the orders of the suppressers in the controlled media online and offline wherever you ‘used’ to find it.
Break the spell of the evildoers and trust in each other.
Let the music play
Let the poet’s dream
Let the church bells stay silent.
Ring out the truth.
