FORGIVENESS
When you are left black and blue, And all he can do Is turn around in bed, And whisper 'sorry'
Do not forgive him.
When you lock the door, He screams and shouts and calls you 'whore' And four days later, All he can do Is give you crocodile tears
Do not forgive.
When you pretend at work it's just a fall, At home he is checking who you text and call And that night, He's waiting for you to come home And all he can do Is hit you more
Do not.
When you run away, And you pray He won't find you now But tonight, All he can do Is drag you back to the place you will die And break you.
Do.

The frustrations of Lockdown have made this situation worse for so many women. Great poem. You've highlighted this issue very well here Isobel.
