Chariots Of Fife

Inspired by 'After the Storm' by Julie Callaghan

Chariots Of Fife

Charioteers equestrian came on storms of thunder

Accompanying lightning bolts to dash asunder

Flashing radiantly across darkly skies portending doom from disdainful heights they’d fly

A quadruplet of black and white wild horses, flowing manes, with thundering hoofs and eyes aflame.

Incessant like crashing crescendos echo through from obscured firmaments

The heavens swell with the sound of trumpets

Seals being dashed ripped asunder entrained by the clapping sounds of thunder.

Hail and icy winds begin to swell to pour downwards quenching fires from Hell.

Translucent steam rising hisses, like serpents, screaming.

Sulphurous odours emerge from cracked wide fissures. Cleft as if with an axe or Mighty Thor's hammer.

From fixed stars distant, the diurnal parallax pulled against the natural rhythms thus undoing his eternal algorithms precision.  The Grand Architect’s gavel hit upon, sending hence a harmonious frequency resounding…

A deafening silence at once descends to quench disquiet foreboding ends.

Mankind united witnessed, as all glanced skywards.

Through a radiant rainbow Royal Arch,

God’s winged brazen emblazoned charioteers depart.

On the threshold of a dreamPo

◄ Just a bit of fun

No laughing matter ►

Bluesky You know me well enough to know that I am sometimes flippant and can seem at odds with traditional religious teaching.

I agree with them all. In that, there is only one religion.

The question which one is right?
Or only my God is the true God!

Shows 'No' knowledge or understanding of religion in my scripture and tabernacle.

The pyx, the Eucharist is carried in a cardboard burger box.

Or SHOULD be and given to feed the poor and homeless that we walk across the other side of the road to avoid and avert our gaze.

All ears and all heart humanity shall not fall. The charioteers shan't retreat unless their tasks they achieve.
Humanity shall embark on the chariots when it's time to leave the darkness of the world, a ride away into the realms of light breathing happiness and joy.
Let the humanity know it's time.

I love this one. You paint such brilliant pictures with your words. I’m not super great at critiquing. Ha! I think you probably know you’re brilliant. I’m impressed by your work.

Bluesky it is the fastest way to empty a room or distance your self from all partygoers.

Oh! hello what do you do?

I talk to dead people... what the hell was that clang!

as the pin falls to the floor.

I gave up the church because I was preaching to the converted.

Most never really understood if I'm honest.

Anmolpreet you join our throng
to sing Gods praises we join in song.

Faiths, beliefs, one's understanding
all united notwithstanding
differences once quenched and dissolved
Nectar flows, as wars and conflicts then resolved.

Bluesky Angel

Your wings unfurled as into the pits of Jahannam
you were truly hurled.

Then like a blazing phoenix, a winged Gazelle flew you from the depths of hell.

Now hear as your true 'Souls' purpose Allah tell.

Nevertheless a piece to remember and reread.

Thank you for your genuine remark. It made it all the more clear to me. 😄 undoubtedly it pass by my cloudy couch I was seated on. And like an open air huge screen I witnessed this charioteering steeds over cloudnine......hehehe. the eagles in frenzy soar higher in the eleventh sky. The horses brushed through their wings, but the eagles weren't hurt.
A great gladiator performance, one to remember and replay.

Next time do let us know in advance, so we be well prepared.....hahaha

Oh the blue sky, you still reveal my shining moon. It looks lovely whether its night or noon. To my lovely moon.

Magical chariot. 🔴🟠🟢

There always is Julie.

The magic is finding it within ourselves.

Hi Bluesky.girl.
You say...
…” I had to read ‘after the storm’ before I read this poem. Your inspirational poem was a foundation stone to this marvellous work of art”…

I am glad that you seeing my preface {unmasked as it were}. Took time to read the inspirational piece that brought this poem about Bluesky.girl.

BTW. Your new avatar’s stunning artwork and your inspired choice of new sign-in name also allowed me an in-depth insight as too exactly what I wished to convey in this piece.

Again how astute of you to sense my reluctance to stop writing.
I was at ends with myself about the ending... Was this indeed the end.

It was the foreseen outcome of the poem before I began to write. Often my poetry begins at the end in my mind. I then transcribe in verse the means to reach that destination.

I am glad you enjoyed it.

Your applause is louder than the thunderclaps contained within my poetry. 😊🌈

Who would have thought my miserable rainy Sunday afternoon could inspire such a write.
Honestly, I am amazed that my "attempts" would ever be read by others let alone inspire such a poem.
So grateful for the nod.
There was a pot of gold at the end of that rainbow after all.

Thank you

Good morning Kate.

Thank you for reading this in such depth.

I was in a state of mind akin to a semi-somnambulistic stupor.

Which is a norm for me in the morn 😉

I had to read after the storm, before I read this poem. Your inspirational poem was a foundation stone to this marvelous work of art.

Literary excellence. I must say a vivid picture is drawn in mind while reading this piece and pic you have chosen to go with it, all the more helps to give imagination perfect wings to capture the imagery, sounds, emotions, noise, people, God and Angel's characters you have sketched here.
To me I just witnessed a theatrical performance by well trained actors. The way the chariot came and left was awe striking beauty.
A piece well structured, well mapped, well written. I think you didn't wish to stop writing, then why you just stopped? Or may be I just felt, there was something glaringly obvious going to happen before the charioteer left.

Well you've done so much with this one Po. A storm, already awe inspiring has reached the realm of the Gods.....

This one a particularly great line: From fixed stars distant, the diurnal parallax pulled against the natural rhythms thus undoing his eternal algorithms precision.

And now I have to go read After the Storm.
