A MORNING IN MAY 2020

Now that the sun shines on my patio

I have a clearer view. There is a breeze

though slight, stirring up the warmer air.

I can see the darting sparrows pecking

on the path – they seem to scoop a lot

at busy ants. Now that I am washed and

dressed, with mind on compass set to go,

I gain a better sense of how our Nature flows.

I’m heading off to Sainsburys’ soon to scan

the supermarket shelves. Unless the greedy

Goblins manage to get a head start on me
