As I lay in bed recalling all my days

The days of laughter and of fun

I miss your smile and your comforting eyes

It's all become an indelible part of me

I miss the days when with you I could run

Up and down the hilly slopes of green gum

Together we laughed at many things that came

All too often something small that was not important

Those were the days of our carefree noons

When playing and swimming everything we would do

Plunging into the pool of cool waters every evening

Splashing the water in every corner or the pool

I miss those tiresome evenings while we would jog

The park around the shopping mall

Where we with others gathered for juices and slices

Then resumed our task again for happiness to sustain

Do you ever miss those days?

I often wonder and smile

For its these memories

That in times gives reason to stay alive
